Your essential maintenance and care guide to protect and keep your surfaces looking perfect for years to come.

How to clean quartz worktops.

Clean quartz worktops with a damp cloth and wipe up spillages as quickly as possible.

For sticky spots, use a mild detergent or general cleaner, and for tougher stains a household product such as Cif. Hardened food or limescale can be removed with a non-metallic scouring pad, followed by a thorough rinse.

Although quartz is very durable, avoid strong chemicals such as paint removers, chlorides or oven cleaners, and protect the surface from heavy impacts. Always use a trivet or heat pad for hot pans, as extreme heat can damage quartz surfaces.

Caring for granite and marble worktops.

Clean your granite or marble worktops with a damp cloth and dry the surface afterwards.

To maintain the shine, use a liquid all-purpose cleaner and avoid abrasive detergents, scouring pads or harsh substances such as acids, oils, wine or nail varnish remover. If any of these are spilled, wipe them away as quickly as possible.

Always use a chopping board and place hot pans on a trivet or mat to prevent scratches or discolouration. For stubborn residue or limescale, fine #000 grade steel wool can be used carefully. Margrasil worktops are sealed before installation and can be resealed using care products specifically designed for granite or marble.
